Mr. Berry is the founder of the Firm and represents employers, federal and state employees, law enforcement officers, firefighters, private employees and labor unions in various employment and labor law matters. He has previously served as General Counsel for employers, law enforcement labor unions and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Berry has written several published legal articles on various topics in employment and labor law and also in reference to law enforcement officer defense. In addition, Mr. Berry frequently provides legal guidance to Human Resources personnel of companies and non-profit entities and legal guidance and training for unions and their representatives.
Mr. Berry previously served as General Counsel to the federal unions representing the law enforcement officers of the United States Park Police and United States Capitol Police. He has also served as General Counsel to employers involving issues related to wage and hour guidelines, Human Resources policy development and employment legal defense. Additionally, he has served as counsel to non-profit entities in wage and hour defense matters. Mr. Berry previously served as Editor-in-Chief of the District of Columbia Bar Labor and Employment Law Newsletter and as a speaker for continuing legal education courses on administrative, employment and labor law issues.
Mr. Berry received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He received his law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law, where he served as the Executive Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Berry subsequently received an advanced law degree, his LL.M., Masters Degree of Law, specializing in litigation and dispute resolution from the George Washington University Law School. Mr. Berry is licensed in the District of Columbia, the State of New York, the State of Maryland, and the State of Michigan. Mr. Berry is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia and the Federal District Court for the District of Maryland, in addition to practicing before other federal administrative agencies.
